Yes! Today I am going to teach you how you can use shortcode for Gravity form.

Gravity forms Shortcodes, What it is?

Shortcode is a special form of functionality or feature of WordPress and anyone can use this without any problem even if he or she won’t know any coding.

To make gravity form easy to use, gravity authors created a shortcode for gravity form.

It is marked as Gravity form Shortcode.

How to use Gravity forms shortcode

Simple! just type [gravityform id=”1″] and it’s done!

Yes, we will paste this code into any post or page and gravity from’s back-end will show a form on the Front end (in your website page).

Where to find the form “id”?

Why “id” is important?

Because when you show multiple forms on a page, how you will identify each other?

The Gravity form shortcode will identify it with “id”. That’s why “id” is important.

Where you will get the “id”?

You will get it from the dashboard of gravity form, like the picture below.

To get something like the picture above, first, go to your WordPress dashboard.

You will get something like the picture above. Click on “form” -from your menus (I marked it on the picture).

And you will get your id from this page like the first picture.

Shortcode parameters! What is it?

If you are a programmer, you surely understand. But if not? No need to worry! Just consider “id” as a parameter.

There are a few more parameters. Let’s see.

Hide Gravity form title

  1. Title” — Every form has a title. If you want not to display the form title, write something like the following

“[gravityform title=”false” ]”

If you want to show your form title, no need to use “title” parameter.

2. “description” — If you don’t want to display the form description, write something like the following

“[gravityform title=”false” description=”false” ]”

Same as “title” If you want to show your form description, no need to use “description” parameter.

How to add Gravity form Shortcode?

Ok. How we will add a form to show in the front end?

Three methods I will show you.

First —– , Using shortcode.

To do so, you need to use a block -The Shortcode Block

To add a block, first, click on the plus sign like in the following picture.

Different blocks will appear. Find “Shortcode” from there. To do so quickly, Write “sho” in the input box. Like the picture below( I marked it with 1 ).

Click on “Shortcode Block”(I marked it with 2)

Something like the below picture will appear.

Write your shortcode into the box like the picture below.

Second —- Using Gravity form’s built-in block.

Yes, the Gravity form has a built-in block by which we can add a form without any coding.

Just drag and paste it into your desired place.

To do so, first, click on the plus sign like in the following picture.

Write “gra” in the input box and drag and paste it into your desired place

Something like the below picture will appear. There will have a drop-down box (I marked it in the picture).

From the Drop-down box, select which form you want to show.

Three —- Using The Embed feature of the Gravity Form.

A fantastic feature of Gravity form is “Gravity Form Flyout“.

By using this you can directly add a form to any post or page from your Gravity form editor.

To do so, you need to go to your gravity form editor like the following picture.

Now, look at your computer screen’s top-right corner. You will see a button, marked with “embed”.

Click on it. A form will appear. See below.

By using this form, you can easily add a form, to any post or page that you already created.

Add Gravity form to page

If you want to add to a post select post. Else “page”, if you want (I marked it with 1 in the following picture).

Select the post and below the post button, A drop-down box will list every single post that you have on your website.(I marked it with 2 in the below picture).

Select your post in which you want to add your form and click Insert(Marked with 3 in the above picture).

WordPress will open your post. The gravity form Block will appear at the left corner of your screen.

Now click or drag and drop on your desired place.

If you want to add your form to a page, same procedure like above. Just select “Page” instead.

If you want to add a form to a new page or post. How you will do that?

Is it possible?

Yes! You can do this as well by using The Gravity form.

To do that, find something like the following picture in your embed form.

If you want to create a new post, select “Post”.

Give your new post a name in the input box and click “Create”.

A New post editor will open and The Gravity Form will be placed at the top.

If you want to create a new page, same procedure. Just select “Page” instead.

Now go to your desired page and arrange it, where you want to place your form on your page.

Shortcode for Gravity form

The last thing you will get from your “Embed Button” is “The Shortcode”.

Try to remember that I discussed it earlier (Shortcode ).

To get it, click on the “Embed button” and scroll down.

Click on the “Copy Shortcode” Button like the following picture.

Now go to your desired page or post where you want to show your Form and paste “the shortcode”.

Your form will appear.
